Driveshaft compatability
I know this is a suspension related question, but it is particular to the 73-79 trucks. Please move this if required.
I may upgrade my 79 f-250 4x4 here with a dana 60 front axel. Nothing silly, just a simple "remove dana 44 and bolt in dana 60" type upgrade. What I would like to know from the seasoned veterans here, is if the dana 44 driveshaft fits the dana 60 axel?
Do I need to upgrade the driveshaft/u-joints as well?

Personally not sure about the drive shaft swap - but swapping the 44 for a 60 sounds like a good upgrade. I'd do some local 'window-shopping' to find the best (or better) combination. Consider the shaft thickness and u-joint size (thickness/width).
