Stupid question(s)... 2004 F250 V10, am replacing my in dash cup holder, but the one in the truck has no retaining screws. Does anyone know what size these should be, so I can install my new unit?
Same with front license place holder, I have one on the way from Ford, but my truck never had one, so no fasteners for the holder or to attach a plate. what sizes will I need?
Dash screws resemble the thread of a course wood screw. Kinda like a #4 screw at a hardware store. They have a washer build into the hex head, should be 7 or 8mm head socket, I'd say roughly 1/8" drill but size.
personally I'd go to a u pull it and get a few, fords are mostly the same with hardware like that.
front license plate bracket uses these one time use plastic rivets. On my truck I took them off and bought body panels pins that have a Phillip's head screw in the center. You remove the little plastic screw then the pin can be pulled out. Makes changing fog light bulbs super easy with the license plate out of the way
