Help with 223 Damper Install

My 223 has been rebuilt and I am ready to install the damper. Will any balancer installation tool work as long as the bolt diameter and thread size are the same? Could I rent one from AutoZone or do I need something special for the old engine? Thanks for your advice and suggestions. I do not want to mess this up!

Any installation tool with the correct bolt or stud should work.

Does anyone know the the bolt diameter and thread size for the crank bolt for a 1954 223? I need to find a damper installation tool in the correct size to get the damper installed.

I believe it is a 5/8 18 bolt approx. 2" long. I needed one when I had my eng rebuilt.
