alternator surge
hello guys , i have a 2001 7.3l 4x4 and a couple years ago i had to replace the alternator and bought one from advance auto parts which was a motorcraft reman. it seem to fix the problem until now.this past winter it went out again. the mechanic at my work said he could rebuild it so i let him take it home with him and in a couple days he had it back on and worked fine for a few weeks but now my truck surges and the needle jumps up and down like its over charging the lights brightens up and the heater fan motor speeds up and down but during all this time the alternator light does not come on! wassup? also can i get an oem anywhere that is not a reman? all the ford dealers have remans. don't want my beast to burn down!!!!
