Squeal When Downshifting Under Load
I was towing a 4000 lb load a few days ago on the interstate, and when going 70 mph up a hill, the trans shifted down, so my revs went from ~2000 to ~2700. This resulted in a high pitched squeal from the engine that lasted for several seconds and then died away. My first thought was this was from the fan clutch, but I was hoping someone has had the same symptoms, and could recommend the cause?
