Jim, I am not sure if the building is on the market or not but I do know that when my family sold the bar and building (there are some apartments above the bar on the 2nd floor) a guy had come in from Chicago and purchased several buildings on main street making a big splash. I think he eventually went broke so I don't know who owns it now.
I thought so too Tony but I am not a real estate person. I do know the building was built around the turn of the century so who knows what lurks behind the walls that could cost someone dearly down the road.
I have only just recently become aware of and a member of FTE. One of the reasons I really like this forum, other than the well experienced advice available, is the fact that a topic can go from a question about the center of gravity of a Lance camper to the price of real estate in Lander, WY. with no trouble. Some forum sites stop conversations short if the eye in the sky thinks topic varies too much.
This is a friendly place we have here. I really appreciate that fact.
Regards to all....
Ken
Yes, WYO, question answered and then some. Wouldn't it be something if a group of guys from FTE were all camped at the same place. It would be a grand time BS'ing around the campfire.
Stay healthy....

Always a possibility. For example, our spring trip, cancelled due to C-19, originally included plans to camp at Starved Rock State Park at the end of this past April.
Some of us out West are getting together out in Condon Oregon, middle of the high desert, at an old abandoned Radar Station on June 21. It's a long, long ways from IL. though.
They have zero cases of the C-19 and the only thing we have to worry about is food, beer, jack rabbits and huge electric wind mills.
Jim, are you referring to Starved Rock SP in Utica, Illinois? If so, that is only a stone's throw from my home.
Ken
That’s it! I looked up your profile location following your campfire suggestion... small world sometimes! We really did have reservations at SRSP...
We’ll try again, perhaps next year. My wife desperately wants to get to Michigan, the only state she’s not visited. We had planned to continue from IL up through WI and then head for Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore on Lake Superior.
I know your wife and you will enjoy Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The locals refer to themselves us "Uppers". They have a distinct accent in their speech.
Safe travels, friend...

Hell, a Co-worker and I spent a week working at what at the time was Bay Regional Medical Center (now McLaren Bay Region) in Bay City - in the thumb, working on an X-Ray Room, and even they had their own accent compared to Detroit folks! "Almost-uppers?"
