Working on an '88 F150 5.0L AOD SWB truck. Looking to swap in a 351w since the 5.0 block is cracked -
SI've already got my hands on a 5.8L block from a '95 truck (its a roller engine). I've torn it down and I'm prepping it for a budget build up - what setups have y'all used for strokers on these engines? I'm leaning towards a 408, but has aqnyone run a 427 kit with any real success? No power turbo/superchargers or nitrous will be involved in this truck.
Can the pimpx system handle more LSA that the original SD setup? I have a set of 30# injectors as well.
HAs anyone ran the cheapy chinese heads off of ebay with any success either? Thanks!
Ive had a 408 for many years great torque , good value as ford block is totally adequate, running TFS206R heads, not in a truck , building 385 for my f150 with world products Snr , using a 35-421-8 retro fit roller , Cheers.
