351w build

Hello everyone. I recently saw a 351w block for sale locally for 300obo. It's out of a lightning with slight sleeve scoring. I've always wanted to build a 408 to put in my 91 f250. To me this seems like an awesome way to start that dream. Any thoughts or opinions would be helpful. Or if anyone has more experience with the cost that would be much appriciated. Thanks!!

$300 for just a block is a little steep if it still need's machining.

I agree. The only nice thing about it is that it has a spyder to run a roller cam. I don't think I would offer more than 175-200

Just some side info. I paid 350 for a complete f4te 351 with 90k on it.

For a 408 build i'd buy a kit. You don't have too but the kit comes with everything.
