Poly tailgate hinges
Several places list tailgate hinges that use a polyurethane bushing as an isolator to prevent metal to metal pivot for the tailgate. On some sites they list them for early Broncos while other sites say they will also fit 65-66 pickups with style side bed. Here is a link to a Bronco listing:

LMC lists them as fitting Bronco and pickups but are out of stock. Does anyone know if these hinges will work on pickups too? They look the same based on website photos. Thanks

It does look the same! One of the reviews is a truck. They sell just the bushing. I did not check the price. But I would guess the one they make must be smaller in diameter so the bushing would fit the gate.
