missing tailgate

i just picked up an 85 bronco and it has no tailgate, was wondering if an f150 tailgate will work on it? i have one off an 89ish 150. was thinkin of puttin that one on and putting a peice of plexiglass on for the window, till i can find a real bronco gate.

well i put my 150 tailgate on the bronco, and it fits, just not with the mounts and latch. but it closes the hole and i think im gonna weld/bolt it in place and then put a piece of plexiglass in 4 the window. bronco tailgates are hard to come by used and theyre like 400 bucks for a new shell, so im gonna wait till i find a good used one somewhere...

i wouldnt weld it in, unless you plan on repainting the entire truck, then giver, why not just cut a piece of plywood to the size you need, and zip-tie that inplace or something, and the plexiglass for the window still

If you do not plan on driving it...just get a tarp and wrap it around...it is the fastestcheapest solution. A non-OEM can cost anywhere from 250-$400. I got mine for $280 and rhinolined the inside and out!
