Not seen anything mentioned about weight. They dont "like" to pull more than 5-7k lbs NA. That said, sounds like your pump is off. Turning the fuel up NA is a good way to get cracked pistons / blown head gaskets / etc without a pyro. Depending on how much, this could be a grey haze, or straight black. Whitish blue sounds like its retarded. Timing light and adapter is 100% the only way to go for accuracy. End of the day, they were only 170hp 330lb/ft new, pretty sure the 3 cyl ecoboost makes more.
