I need help identifying this carb, I recently picked up a 66 F100 with the V8 352. The carb is leaking gas from a gasket and I want to rebuild it. Currently trying to find the proper kit but dont know if this carb is a 4100 or 4300.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Before buying a kit or rebuilding it, check for excessive clearance or play in the throttle butterfly rod. With long use the holes in the carb body get wallered out and cause a big vacuum leak that can't be tuned around. It's something to check for because you'll pull your hair out trying to adjust it if you don't know about it.
Also check to see venturi size, it is stamped on the drivers side bowl casting, a number like 1.08" or 1.14" etc. Sometimes "mix and match" carbs (and parts) are used, and depending on what you want out of your truck overall it may not be a very good carburetor for your purposes. Anything that will bolt on the intake will "work" but it is a lot more complicated than that.
