I have a friend looking at used trucks now. It took me a couple of trucks to realize that not every truck that looks leveled has actually been aftermarket leveled. A truck with the snow plow prep (+2 coil springs) looks a lot more level than a truck without either the camper (+1 springs) or the snow plow packages. Closer inspection of the window sticker may be required. Of course, if it looks level and has neither package, it's a safe bet that it was aftermarket leveled.
Some of the trucks that I'm helping to look at are priced really high. I eventually had to ask him, "How much new truck could you get for the same price, or just a little more?"
I keep coming back to this truck on my search. I would appreciate any more opinions. Would the lift and tires cause dealer not to warranty any potential suspension issues? What would a fair price be? Thank you
Yes, the lift could cause warranty to be denied on potential suspension related issues. The only exception to that would be if the lift and tires were a dealer installed add on prior to sale. Even then, it would probably only be covered by the dealer who did the work.
Price is kinda tough, and somewhat subjective. That lift and tires could add value in some buyers eyes, but have no value in others.
I look at it this way, if you were to find the same 19 brand new, stock on the lot now, you could get $10-$12k off. So we'll say $64k (MSRP $74k), now subtract maybe $8-10k for being used. So $54-56k would seem like a fair asking price in stock form. The question is, what, if anything, is that aftermarket stuff worth to you.
Don’t worry about “Death Wobble.” If you like a truck, it can be cured. I’m not saying Ford will do it, but you as the owner can with the right knowledge and parts.
Having said that, I couldn’t fathom paying that much for a truck and not having the LED headlights. The injectors replaced don’t really bother me. It is weird that all 8 were replaced without the pump. Odd to replace all 8 if there wasn’t pump failure.

That is within $1000 of what I paid for a brand new 2019 Lariat CCSB 4WD PSD with the Sport package, snow plow prep, bed liner and 5th wheel/goose neck package last December.

Run away....now.
But did yours come with a bull bar Redford? No. Exactly. 😂
Seems that some are getting hung up on the price, thats just the asking price, doesn't mean thats what you have to pay. Just like the MSRP that everyone pays way less than.
Part of the dealer game is starting high. If you like it, as it sits(wheels, lift, etc.) make an offer. If they say no then walk.
I’m confused. OP, you post in 3 different threads about buying a truck. You post about this used one, a long box 250 and then looking for a $3000 PCO for a tremor. Which one is it? 11yrs in between posts? Did you ever buy an 08 or do you still have your 05?
I’m struggling with the exact setup I want. And struggling on how to justify $80,000. I can do it but just seems a little irresponsible. Had an 05 250 Just got rid of it. Had a fire in fuse panel. I have a 13 350 a 19 250 a 06 450 and a 11 250 which is my daily truck that I want to upgrade. My guys drive the other ones. If I pursue the truck I would probably offer something in the upper $50’s for it. I always appreciate everyone’s opinion and knowledge. I’ll be first to admit I have a lot to learn. Thanks.
As others hinted, I would be tempted to look at new trucks for about the same price as the used unit shown here.
I paid within $1000 out the door for a 2017 F350 4x4 Lariat SWCC 6,7L with lots of options on a truck I ordered, compared to the truck ad. I know prices have gone up some since 2017, but that price for a used truck seems a bit much. There are probably leftover new 2019s that dealers are looking to sell for a song.
