Tag says you got a 3.72 gear ratio, F1 had a Spicer / Dana 44 axle

41 teeth on the ring gear, 11 on the pinion. 41 divided by 11 = 3.73 gear ratio. (3.727272...)

Thanks guys. That’s a great help. I’m learning something new every day. Makes sense how they tag it really. Just wasn’t aware.

Check the bottom right web from the back. It should have a 41 cast on the web. Early F1s used Dana/Spicer 41. 44s came later and internal parts don't interchange.

You're welcome - we're all happy to help! It's those little things that make the hobby interesting. And somebody pointed that out to me years ago.
My 48 has the same housing with 4.27 ratio. I swapped it out for a 9" with 3.50 gears for highway speeds.
