I believe they will bolt up but are longer over all so they may lift your front end up, Someone more knowledgeable feel free to correct me if I am wrong,
I don't know if the added lift will cause steering or suspension travel problems.
Are you front struts leaking fluid, showing signs of too much travel or have broken coil springs on them, I have noticed the broken coil spring to be an issue on the 2004-2008 4wd models
why would 4 x 4 struts be "BETTER" than 2 x 4 struts ? If your trying to LIFT or get heavier load that might be.. but "BETTER" is not a definable value.
i should've mentioned the truck is already lifted 6inches i just want to get rid of the spacers them selves. im just wondering if the struts wold still bolt up
Personally, I am fan of KYB but, the BEST thing to do is to speak with staff that builds the components....IMHO...call your favorite shock/strut mfg and ask them for recommendations..... they will give you their thoughts, insight and part numbers...… it just doesn't get any easier than than (or correct for the 1st time out)
