I would like put something other than the factory gauge cluster. I would like to be able to put numbers to my temp and oil pressure ect. And i am not wanting to put gauges else were in the cab as that clutters things up. So what im saying is I want a gauge cluster for under $150 if possible. And be similar to the following pics.
I am fairly certain that quality gauges alone will set you back considerably more than $150 unless you already have some to use. You also have to factor in if you are making your own panel or if you are looking for a prefab one like the one in the second picture.
The one in the photo looks to have an applied film with the machine turning printed on it. Frankly it looks pretty cheesy. A buddy of mine found a cluster from a heavy duty (F 450 or bigger - I don't recall) and it was a pretty cool touch. I've looked from time to time for one but they are not easy to find.
I don't think the stock cluster is all that attractive, and I love the fact that the speedo jumps from 20 to 50 mph and doesn't stop bouncing until I'm doing over 50.
Find a f500 gauge cluster if you want to go cheap. If you want to spend some cash there are a lot of options out there.
I got a f500 cluster for 20 bucks 6 months ago. Just go hunting locally. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...t-cluster.html
