Anybody know if the T98 in a 1961 f600 would be same as my T98 (1959 f350). Interested in maybe buying his pto. I know it wasn't s Ford part but looks different than mine. His brake is different for sure. Mine is band type, his has drum and shoes. If trans is same pto should bolt to mine.

Reason: Wrong year
AFAIK, based on posts here, the F600 T98 will probably have a larger input shaft than the F350 model. This is the case with NP435s in light vs. mediums. I do not think this effects PTO operation.
As to the PTO, the 6 bolt pattern is the same. So it should bolt up.
BUT, when installing a PTO, gear lash is a concern, and various PTOs have different ways to address this. I have attached two links, but the short version is adjustment is made via different thickness gaskets, small spacers, or multiple gaskets.
Find out what brand these are, and what direction they turn. Speed might vary as well.
Thanks. No idea on brand. Mine installed sixty years ago by company that made and installed the dump bed and hydraulic equipment. My PTO works but previous owner welded u- joint to pto and shaft to other side of u-joint. I cut the shaft and will have to make a coupling. Shaft is six sided solid steel. The f600 has completely different pto but likely would bolt on if he had the u-joints and shaft.
Having a four foot long solid steel shaft flopping around on a u-joint is less than ideal when working on it. It was all gummed up and took a lot of cleaning and persuading to convince it to work.
