Has anyone replaced their dash *****? I see sites selling them, but I wonder how they install since it looks like most of them are molded on? Especially the vent windows, choke, etc.
It seems like they would be prone to rattling loose. Does anyone have any feedback on the new *****? I'm trying to decide if I should upgrade... my originals are pretty well worn.
So I just received a choke **** from LMC. It has a threaded brass boss inside that looks like a #10-32. I had a spare choke cable so I broke the molded **** off. The metal that's left is too large to run a die over it to get a #10-32 thead.
And of course the **** doesn't have any instructions, so I'm puzzling over this one.

Does the **** also have a setscrew on the side to lock it down?
Anyone else have any experience on these *****? I have shelved this until I can figure out how to get these things on. I probably should just call LMC and return them, but it seems like there must be a way.
Am I correct in thinking all ***** fit and function correctly except the choke? What is the shaft diameter of the choke rod? Did you try to thread a 10-32 bolt into the **** to verify its sizing? (Could take it to a hardware store and find correct size threads if necessary). Once you know the size differential its a good start point. Forum people can measure their choke rods to confirm also. Just ideas but calling LMC is likely a good idea.

Since it has brass inside, could you drill it out to the choke rod size and put a set screw on it? Also put a dimple in the choke rod for the set screw to catch.
there should be a full switch kit- honestly there should be a entire switch kit- the closest we get is a full wiring harness the happens to have the switches- as for *****, ha . ( i want to make a uk **** joke here )
