My memory is that there is an active member on the forum from Northfield Ill. Could you PM me? I am trying to locate an individual listed as from Winnetka that recently sold a 38 Ford Woodie that I restored in the 80's.
Bill - would the person who sold the woodie maybe have been a member of the EFV8 Club? If so he’d be in the club registry which includes his vehicle model code. Might not be in the current registry if he sold it and dropped out but might be in prior year’s editions. I’ll see what I can find. Stu
Stu,
I don't know if the past owner was a member. I logged onto the V8 club site but do not see how I can do a search of members. I am not a member anymore of the V8 club but was able to at least log onto their site, suggestions?

I’ll look through the registry copies for the past few years. I’ve kept them, just have to dig them out. Stu
Found only one guy with a Northfield address. Found him in a 2009 registry, and an earlier one, but he isn’t listed as having a ‘38 woodie. I’ll pm you his contact info if you want to see if it’s him, or ask if he knows your person. Stu
Probably not. I suspect that it was a good thing that I did not know about the sale until just after the auction. It was the one restoration that I kept track of my hours. Woodies if you have to do much much wood replacement and you do it yourself take a lot of time. I was in my prime when I restored it. I logged 1700 hours. I built it with a Columbia 2 speed axle, it was a real highway cruiser.
