Temperature sensors

I am looking to get new temperature sensors for a '50 F-1, not the thermostates. Anyone know who sells them? I have checked with LMC to no avail.

If you have the original gauges try Dennis Carpenter.

LMC has your sending units. Or were you actually looking for something else? Or is this what you wanted?

I have converted the 239 to 12v, will the original sensors not work with 12V??

So you have aftermarket 12 volt gauges? I think you need to contact whoever made your gauges. A picture of your gauge setup might be a big help too.

Maybe, but it's unlikely the original sending units will work with the new 12 volt gauges

This is the gauges that I have in the truck, I did not realize that there would be a voltage rating for temp sensors. I figured it would not be a problem to switch to 12v without replacing the sensors.

Nice looking instrument cluster. I think this is the sending unit you are looking for:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/DOLPHIN-WAT...-/232406820880

You can also give Dolphin a call.

It's not so much the voltage difference as it is with gauge/sending unit compatibility.

The type that I am looking for has one side with a single screw in mount on the right bank and a dual connection on the left bank so as to connect the 2 together. I will tryn to post a pic on here

I don't think you will find anything like that. The dual sending unit is unique to the flathead V8's. Only one of the units is the actual sending unit (I think it's the one on the right bank), and the other is a fail-safe snap switch which when activated makes the gauge go to hot (Someone please correct me here if I'm wrong). So, you can install your single sending unit on either side and plug the opposite side, or install two separate temperature gauges. Someone else has obviously run into this scenario, so would be curious as to how they worked around it.
