This is the gauges that I have in the truck, I did not realize that there would be a voltage rating for temp sensors. I figured it would not be a problem to switch to 12v without replacing the sensors.
The type that I am looking for has one side with a single screw in mount on the right bank and a dual connection on the left bank so as to connect the 2 together. I will tryn to post a pic on here

I don't think you will find anything like that. The dual sending unit is unique to the flathead V8's. Only one of the units is the actual sending unit (I think it's the one on the right bank), and the other is a fail-safe snap switch which when activated makes the gauge go to hot (Someone please correct me here if I'm wrong). So, you can install your single sending unit on either side and plug the opposite side, or install two separate temperature gauges. Someone else has obviously run into this scenario, so would be curious as to how they worked around it.
