Apple car play

Is there any way to charge my phone without Apple car play showing up on the infotainment screen?

Use a separate usb plug in, use one of the rear seat usb plugs, Plug in your Apple 110 volt USB adapter into the inverter.

With the phone not plugged in Settings > Apple Car Play Preferences. Then select your phone and select Disable. When you want to use Car Play again, you will have to reverse the process.

This is the easiest way.

I haven't figured out why, but sometimes I have to unlock my phone to have it hook up with Apple Play. So there's probably some way you can do what you want without changing settings?
