You sure its not the intake doing tbe drone? You be surprised how much drone they can produce when something is not sealed right. Just a though.
I'm pretty certain it's not the intake. Although the intake and the CAC tube on the driver's side do seem to have the most vibration when I put my hand on them. I'll check all of the connections and might even swap the 6637 back in just to see if there's any difference in drone.
Bringing this thread back because the drone still. isn't. gone. It's getting to the point where I no longer enjoy longer trips because of the drone. So far I've tried the 30 inch fte resonator by itself. The 30 inch fte resonator and the 40 inch donaldson muffler on at the same time. This was the quietest setup, but the drone was still there. Currently I have just the 40 inch donaldson on and it still drones. The drone starts at roughly 60mph and doesn't go away until about 65-66mph.
Guy at my local muffler shop says it's gonna drone unless I put a muffler on it that isn't straight through. Problem is, I have yet to find a 4" muffler that isn't straight through. At this point, I'm kinda considering putting a catalytic converter on it to see if that would help. Found a universal 4" cat on amazon for like 85$ that I might try out. Or I was thinking maybe grab one from a wrecked 6.0. My truck came with a cat and muffler on the factory system and it was quiet as a mouse at cruising speed. No kind of drone whatsoever. Any help is greatly appreciated as I would like to get rid of this dang drone once and for all!
Were you able to get an exact RPM range the drone is occuring at? Reading through you were thinking 17-1800rpm, but I want to be sure I'm running the correct numbers for you.

Just went for a quick drive. The drone starts right around 1700-1725 and is the worst at 1800-1850. Which is roughly 60-65 mph according to the speedometer. But the speedometer is abut 2-3mph off since I have larger than stock tires.

Some quick math before heading to work looks to be showing a frequency around 121.66Hz with (roughly) a 2.82m wavelength that needs to be eliminated. Using a 27.71654" long J-pipe should cancel it out.

Where abouts in VA are you located?
Im in the tri city are, about 45 minutes south of Richmond. I’ve looked into j pipes a little bit. Would there be a best spot to put it or just put it anywhere that it’ll fit?
I have the the 4" Aero Turbine with the built in 'airfoil' style resonator. Straight through design. Had a full exhaust on it but had to modify it as the tailpipe rotted and broke before a trip. It now turns down before the axle. Drove it 2400 miles to Ohio and not a drone anywhere to be heard, believe me, if it did the wife would have let me know.
Sounds like with all the time and money spent on different pieces you could get an Aero Turbine. I am sure you would be happy with it. Not loud like a straight pipe but has a good sound with no noticeable ill effects.

I've seen both pre and post muffler installs. As long as you get the 1/4 length correct it'll be 180 out of phase and cancel it out. If you decide to go this route and want some assistance give me a shout. My schedules pretty busy lately but I'm sure I could find some time to lend a hand.

Ok sounds good. I appreciate the offer of help. i might end up going that way, but the aeroturbine also seems to be a good candidate...will update the thread once I make a decision.
