Thanks to2016BOOSTEDGREYGOOSE DESIGNS PNP column shifter to console wiring the project will soon be done , you are a wiring genius keep up the good work check him out online or Instagram
I wouldn't want a console shifter, just gets in the way of utility. My column is out of the way... But too each their own and good luck with the conversion.
^^^^Ditto^^^^ The console shifter was actually one of the things that turned me off of a Lariat. That and the price........
I believe you can get the 500/501A Lariat w/ center jump seat and column shift. They're rare and usually not on dealer lots that way. I'm one of those weirdos that prefer the jump seat to either flavor of center console.

Lariat is out of my price range either way.
You are correct sir. I'm not a fan of the jump seat though. A 501A w/console and column shift would be hard to resist. As a note, the 501A Lariat would be my top trim level.

I agree, I almost didn't buy the 502a because of it. It is starting to grow acceptable to me (no choice). At least it's a 'nice to the feel' shifter, but it does take from the 'table' area. I feel like I have no useful place to sit my phone or other smaller items. I also despise how things can slide under the console into never land. Lost a small key because of it.
I will say, if Ford put dial shifters like the Expedition has in their pickup trucks, I would not own one.

I'm afraid that is probably just around the corner. And I agree. I'm really hoping this XLT is my last truck but I feel I may have to look for a nice clean low mileage 2017. I want the "good" 5.0 and the 6 speed w/console and column shifter.
I had a rented Expedition for a few days awhile back. Thought I would hate the dial shifter, but only wound up disliking it. I guess if I drove it awhile longer I would have eventually got used to it.
