Don't listen to these guys Jake, my dealer told me if I buy this $400 sticker he'll throw in some shocks that I'll ditch, hill decent which a brake pedal will do, skid plates that purchased separately would be $500 and he'd cut me a deal of $100 donation to the Ford Executive Retirement Fund. I'm thinking win!!!!

You guys changing tire size on 2020s (not the older trucks) have you been able to correct the tires size either by changing to the factory options in Forscan...WITHOUT getting a engine light that cant be cleared? Of have you had a dealer reprogram a 2020 to one of the other factory sizes.

I have tried both on one of our 20s. You can correct with Forscan but you get the permanent engine code with a dash light (wrench). Set back to AsBuilt and went to dealer. They let me watch and in addition to listening to the TECH complain about the new software they have to use with 2020s and how slow it is, there was NO options to change tires size from factory original on this new software.

I am only looking to change to the factory 20" from the factory 18s this truck came with.

Thanks for any advise.

Im really torn on an fx4 vs a tremor. Both crew cab black

Tremlor is all chromed out...i hate chrome. Also no bedliner so itd be wrapping bumpers and grille and doing the fender vents in red

Fx is obviously cheaper. But has 20 invh rims...so i figure put on 33s so i can tow and still play in the mud with the mrs in her jeep.

Would i need to lift for 33s?

I already hear the eyerolls. Sorry.
Certainly would not need lift for 33" that would actually be a fair bit smaller than the factory tires on the 20" wheel which are 275/65-20 and measure about 34.1". The AT tires on the 18" wheels are a 275/70-18 which is a 33.2" tire and they look kinda small on these trucks. My thought is that I will end up getting a set of wheels and tires for winter (hunting) with the Tremor size 285/75-18 and measure 34.8-35" depending on the tire manufacturer and based on what I can see there should not be any issues what so ever with those performing on a '20 superduty.

Also, with the 20" wheels, stock tire size is equal to 34".
probably going off the lot. mainly because, well, Lord Knows when production will be back to normal.

part of it is looks. won't lie. In my area, non-chromed out is the exception, rather than the rule. some places, chrome looks good (harleys, for example).

on a black f250, I'd rather go black(with some red thrown in, to match the boss lady's rubicon.) i figure, I'm in an fx4 now, and, it can certainly handle anything i'd in clear conscience throw at it.

the tremor would handle pretty much anything i would ever even joke at throwing at it, but, i will not rock crawl in a daily driver. and, there are only 2 black ones anywhere near me...one is all chromed out, and, the other is a 350 that has every option known to man. (really not about dropping 73k on a truck, and, then 4 wheeling...ever. Found 1 i can live with price and options, but, it's in Virgina)

fx4? them i can find rather easily. i figure, put the wheels on that i like (stockwheels look...well...stock) and, 20 inch with white letters?

weighing out my options. figure, If i go fx4, i can live with a lot of ot for a bit, until i want to get crazy, and, go with the bumpers, winch, and, all of the goodies that make life happy.

i do tow a rather large travel trailer, and, that's where my 150 get angry at me. i would go 150 again, but, it seems like You have to go turboed 6. turbos make me a little nervous. (i drive an oil tanker, and, the last turbo that crapped out pretty much ended the fascination.
