Anyone with a 5th gen F-Series know if/what goes inside the cab on the right panel by the feet of the passenger? I have a F100 and it appears that there was something there at some point. Perhaps a fire extinguisher? Looks like a bracket of some sort. I'll take a picture tomorrow and edit the post when I get the chance.
Fire extinguisher was as accessory that was available at the parts counter, included a bracket that was usually mounted on the right or left kick panel.
My Dad made a bracket to hold the Thermos that had coffee in it for when we went camping when I was a kid. The truck was a 1967 Ford F-100 Camper Special.
My truck came with a fire extinguisher mounted on the passenger side kick panel as NumberDummy stated. since I was the second owner, I wouldn't be surprised if it was the original fire extinguisher. Being in the safety field, it was one of the first items I replaced in the truck. I have seen extinguisher reproductions on some sites which look like original stock from that time period, but you pay a premium price. Anyway, I just went to ACE and bought a replacement vehicle extinguisher.
Mine had a fire extinguisher bracket there. I didn't have a fire extinguisher that fit it though so I put a new bracket and extinguisher down there "For Safeties Sake"
After my 69 Camaro SS near burned to the ground a fire extinguisher is mandatory. When I got my 66 I thought about kick panel mounting. Under the seat is a lot more out of the way, one on each side.
I'm curious if there are reproductions of the original OEM fire extinguisher. Trying to get as much original stuff in the truck as possible. I've seen the aftermarket one's on CJ Pony. Anyone have a picture of the OEM bracket?
