Comparable later model suspension

Hi, Does anyone here know if any later model 4x4s that have comparable parts to my 62 f100 4x4? Leaf springs, shackles, spring hanger, etc. I wanna put a lift on my truck but no kits are available

Yes, 1963 and 1964 are both comparable. 1965/66 are different with a slipper leaf spring arrangement. Then anything newer is workable, and can get you disc brakes and a high pinion differential which will require a lift for clearance.

Try this thread for the details on installing a high-pinion diff.

Another less expensive option would be to get the leaf springs designed for your truck and have them arched a bit extra if wanted. Your leaf springs have probably sagged to where they have very little arch left as most do after 50+ years.

1959/65 F100 4WD has leaf spring front suspension // 1966/76 F100 4WD has coil spring front suspension.

Yes, but 1976 was the last year for F100 4WD's. F150's were introduced in 1975.

Off topic trivia - I seem to recall the slang for F150 in mid-70's being "Heavy Half-ton"

Really? Leaf springs can be made to fit on the original spring hangers and shackles?

Actually a GOOD spring shop will more than likely have an over the counter spring that will work, and if they don't can definately make you a set. Just keep in mind if you go too much over stock height you may need to change your steering linkage and you will need to align.
