I own a 2018 F-250 4x4 with 20x10 -18 Fuel Hardline wheels drilled for 8x170. I went to the dealer for a tire rotation and they didn’t do it because they said I need hub centric rings. I called some dealers and they weren’t really sure but suggested if it’s only drilled for one pattern then I should be good. I have rotated my wheels myself many times and even this dealer has before as well. My question is if those particular wheels need rings with that wheel. Do any of you with Fuel wheels use rings? Thanks you!
Does the hub hole on the wheel fit snug on your hub? If so, then a ring isn't needed (nor would one fit). If the wheel fits loose on the hub, and uses the flat faced, Ford style washer lug nuts, then a ring is required to properly center the wheel on the hub.

i just rotated them myself and they are pretty tight on the hub. I spin the wheel and it stays true to the hubs. I honestly don’t think it needs them.
Call Fuel dealer rep, or regional rep or whoever who can answer this question......Are my Fuel Hardline wheels for my truck lug centric or hub centric? End of discussion once you find out that answer. Find out the hub bore mm measurement of those Fuels.
Most Fuel wheels are 125.1mm hub bores and SDs have 124.9mm hubs, if I recall correctly. You can't fit no ring between that! That's 2/10s of a millimeter. I wouldn't ever use that shop again. A good shop should be able to correctly install wheels whether hub centric or not.
I could be wrong but I bet those Fuel lugs have 60 degree cone. That could be an indicator those wheels are lug centric. So to center the wheel up instead of the hub doing it.
Either way hub or lug centric you should have anybody rotate them. Now if they are lug centric.....be careful who you let rotate your tires, halfway throw them up there run that gun full throttle cross thread, chip your wheels, you name it

Yup it was the ford dealer. I was trying to save me some labor because I rotate at each oil change and halfway between. I’m pretty carful and run my lugs lightly in a star pattern then torque in the same pattern. I also wire brush my surfaces and Anti seize before the installing. Nothing is fitting in that space.

Must just be that dealership. The dealer I go to will rotate no problem. Maybe try another one if there is one close to you.
Yes I emailed Fuel
my bore is 124.9 and the fuels are 125.1.
if you mic the hubs and put a caliper or bore gauge in the wheel i could almost gaurantee they wont measure 124.9 and 125.1, atleast mine werent exact as advertised. ive bought machined aluminum centric rings and theres still quit a few thousands of slop. what that means is the lug nuts are still whats centering the wheel, not the rings. personally i wouldnt bother with rings. imo theyre a gimick
