I have a broken one somewhere in the shop! The turn screw is very tight to the door when in place and not strong enough to move the pin. May work on some vehicles but not these trucks, imho.
As the others said, too light for the task and the hinge is too close to the body to get a good go at it. I have one here somewhere if you want to try.

Thanks for the offer but it looks like I'll pass on it after seeing the responses.
Those selling this for our trucks should know better. Instead, they either take of for fools or are fools with regard to this tool.
Anyone here want to tell us how wonderful this worked? How the pin came right out?
If so, I take it all back.
I bought one from Bob Drake to use on my 40 Ford coupe, so far it works good but then again the pins were out of the hinges when I bought the car so there wasn't a lot of friction to overcome. Works good to re-install the pins, less chance of hitting the door with a hammer.
I've never tried one. I thought about it but then after seeing similar comments from the various members on this board I decided to pass.
I tried a hammer, just because you have to. Then ground the top of the pin flat, center punched it and carefully drilled the pin, starting small and working up until I could get the edges of the pin as thin as I dared. After that it was fairly easy to knock it loose with a hammer and punch.
The top part of the pins are slightly thicker and knurled a bit to hold them in place so thats all you have to drill out.
A little bit of patience and they'll come out fairly easy
