I have a 2003 6.0, it’s got the egr delete and bulletproofed, but we took it out one day and it blew antifreeze out of the reservoir and now it won’t start up, any ideas to what it could be ??
6.0 bulletproofed, not sure that's possible.Do You have a scanner for codes and readings. If so post some while cranking. That will get the ball rolling.
list past work done and the people associated with work. Not shops names, but if it was a shop or you.
The bulletproofed is why I'm asking.
Well being deleted you won't be looking at the EGR cooler. I think if you have already tried cranking and it will not turn over.
First thing I would do is pull all the glow plugs out and then crank to blow all the water out. Don't stand in front of any of the holes
or have any body parts in line with the holes. Water/coolant being forced out can do some nasty damage to skin and eyes.
At this point you can put the cooling system under vacuum and see if it holds. If it does you can them use a cooling system
pressure tester and see of that holds. Leaking of one or the other means your going to be pulling the heads. Then it just depends
on how soon your going to be doing work on it. If your going right in you can skip this next part. If you plan on waiting it will help
to keep any rust down. Get some oil onto the cylinder walls by squirting oil in and cranking it over a few times. Stand clear of the holes
as that oil will spray out with some force. You can lay some shop rage to catch the oil. Makes cleanup less of a pain.
