New experience and need help

Long story but had to take my ‘79 F250 in to have headers put on. I get it back and notice I have two coolant leaks the one I know I need a new hose. But this one is throwing me off, none out the tail pipes or in the oil. And no I’m not the best mechanic but have never had this happen either.

I know on some heads were the header or manifolds bolt on , the outside farthest two bolts have open jackets to the coolant , make sure there sealed good , that's why most heads use studs on the outside two bolt holes originally , ,,I know this is true on my mopar engines and pretty sure that most engines do have bolts or studs that bottom out in a water passage. If this is the case , pull the outer two bolts and seal ,, make sure that the installer did not strip the threads out , If you paid to get headers installed at a shop I would refer back to them to repair

If it's where it appears to be it's most likely a cracked head. but I may be seeing it wrong.

A leaking exhaust manifold bolt would be the best scenario but I don't recall Ford have any through holes. unless they drilled a broken bolt out too far.

If they drilled into the water jacket or if it cracked it wouldn't likely get into the oil.

You'll have to drive it so it gets hot and cold to really tell what you have. if it's minor enough it might plug itself or you might need to add some stop leak . it just depends on where it is and how bad it is but time will tell.
