You'll have no problem finding 8 bolts. I just picked that listing as a quick example.

Here's a link to my build thread:

Hey Mike. Followed your link to your build. Awesome so far. To tired to read more. Im on pg 10 of 82 pages. Since this thread is about bed bolts and you referenced yours, what is the torx size for the SD bolts? ( T30,40,50,55) I would like to grab some at my local jy.

Thank you. Hijack over

Thanks.
Off the top of my head, I don't know the size.
One thing I have heard, not sure how accurate it is. The SD fasteners are self-tapping into the J nuts and like to gall when they're unscrewed.

Also Mike you arent totally crazy. The bed bolts on my 74 f250 have different lengths! Dont know if they NEED to be because I took them off and havent put them back in yet so I dont know if they only fit in a certain hole, but I definitely have different length bed bolts.

Edit* Also OP if you are curious I can look at the bolts tomorrow and see if they have any markings on them. Just let me know

sure any information would be great...

Dennis Carpenter got back to me... they ‘think’ the bolts in the kit are grade 8. Doesn’t really confirm anything but Okay. I’m probably going to just settle on ordering the kit and swapping the nut and washer.
