I 'm looking for help with mounting the bracket that holds the power steering , a/c and belt tensioner pulley to the engine block on a 1992 ford 4.9L. I am wondering does anybody know how much torque is needed to tighten the bolts ? Six in total, the two on top are 1/2 inch , the two on bottom are 9/16 " and two nuts are 11/16 " in the middle. I would appreciate any help .
My Haynes manual says 30-45 ft lbs. And it says that torque is for the power steering support and mounting brackets. I'm not sure this is what you need and if it is correct for the bracket you are talking about. This is all the info I have. You might try those torques and see what you think. Here is another way you might determine your torque.
