Hi folks, hope everyone is healthy. 1948 F68 same as F3, I am looking to change from original pedals to new pedals to match with my 302 and automatic install. This means that I can also move the master cylinder from under cab to under the hood.
So I know there are people who have done this and calling on all advice. Parts source and a kit would be great, potential issues on installing hanger, placement guidance etc.

I installed a universal hanger assembly that I bought on ebay. It came with the power booster and corvette style m/cylinder. I reinforced the firewall with angle iron. I thought it needed reinforcing but probably would have worked OK with out. Just make sure when you choose a location on the firewall, that you can get the valve cover (V8) off without removing the booster or m/cylinder.
I changed the pedal assembly so the one in the photo is not the one that comes with the kit.
I did the same as Dan used CPP master with a mid 50’s Chevy peddle assembly made the mounting plate 1” wider and tied it to the dash and the steering column in a triangle shape
I used an electric light switch on the peddle instead of a pressure switch for brake lights
a word to note those master cylinder leak I had to return one and the replacement still leaked at the plugs on the opposite side from the lines
I used the master-pedal assy from my donor vette " got lucky with it being a $ 2,000 PBR upgrade " with some extra bracing and a plate to get the proper vette angle and pedal position . I don't seem to have any pedal pics but pedal height and engine clearance work against each other so lots of measuring .
