Cool brake master cylinder and foot pedal relocation

I've replace the front and rear suspensions on my 53 F100 pickup and now have disc's all around. Now I'm looking to mount a new master cyl w/booster on firewall and of course will be needing a new foot pedal hanger assembly. I suspect there are several suppliers out there that market this product (kit or individual parts) but my initial search thus far has uncovered something from Mid50. I'd be interested to hear from some of you experienced F100 resto dudes what your using and what you'd recommend... Thanks Texas-not so slim

I used the pedal assy from the donor vette because I had it and didn't want to alter any part of the vette braking system .

I used the Mid-fifty kit. I didn't like how high the pedal was. I straightened the pedal arm some, and adjusted the push rod to move the pedal closer to the floor.

Hey john or avf100... Thanks for the response with the pic's . I've been looking at the various brake kit suppliers and both CPP and Mid50 are on my radar. Your two pics are a little confusing, i.e. the master cylinder appears to be the CPP and I think you implied the brake system kit you used was the Mid50.. Is the in-cab bracket and hanger/footpedal mid50 or CPP..Just curious ... Yours looks to be a sweet clean install either way.. I'm also shopping for tilt steering columns.. Who's did you use..? the clearance around steering linkages between column and the rack& pinion is a concern because of the exhaust manifold/header is a big obstacle..who's headers did you find worked for you ? It all looks sweet. Roger

Thru Firewall Mount : Kugel Komponents, Quality Komponents Since 1969

I used these guys...not super cheap, but excellent quality.

As for columns, do your research and pay the money for good quality

1- CPP makes the kit that Mid-fifty sells
2- The column is an Ididt floor shift
3- The headers are Hedman headers....But I have a chevelle frt frame clip with a SBC ..no rack & pinion it has a steering box
