Heater box foam
Do those go between the heater box and the cab side of the firewall, or on the outside of the firewall?
Further question; I got the "heater box seal kit" from LMC. There are a couple of pieces of foam that go on the doors. They dont seem like they would do much. In other words, I laid the foam in there without glue and worked the doors and they dont seem to be doing anything to stop the airflow when doors are closed. I must not be doing something right. Or maybe it just doesnt matter like it does on a modern car with blend doors, AC, etc...
As a side note, I have 2 cables to hook to 2 doors on the heater box. But only 2 of the heater controls (1967) have cables, right? And one goes to the valve on the heater hose.

Learned that pulling out the fan speed **** opens the door from the blower to the diverter section of the box. Wow! I was wondering why the airflow out of the heater/defroster was nil. It even says "Pull for Heat" on the fan speed ****. Dummy me...can't read apparently.

Any info on the foam for the doors would be appreciated!

you arent the first one who couldnt figure out why the heater on the ‘67 didnt blow much air.
The door flaps on my heater box (‘67) have lost their foam pads too. They still work mostly, but just leak a little when the heat is shut off. Otherwise the defrost still blows good air up to the windshield and its minor to me.
I would suggest improvising and find some very thin material to apply to the flaps that would work better.
I was thinking maybe leather?? Or anything that would seal those flaps a little bit
