Help with a switch

Hey guys,

I can’t seem to find the login details for my other account so here we go.

i’m working on this 2001 Ford E350 high top conversion econoline van with a power sofa.

The switch has four terminals..

I know the bench works perfectly I have tested it with a consistent 12 V power source...

I have tested the voltage on the wires coming out and I’m getting a constant 12 volts.. BUT When I go to short that connection I don’t even get a spark

there is three ground wires and two power wires coming out of the wall. there are two switches in total one controls the up-and-down and one controls the forward and back.. no matter how I connect these damn things then I am getting nothing, even if I connect the wires that are showing 12 V to the contacts for the seat I am getting nothing.. but when I tested directly from the battery it works perfectly

help please!

When you say you tested with a 12v load where are you getting power from and how? You may test with your existing wires as 12v on the leads but when you put a load on your wires they may be breaking contact. Check your connections. Do you know that the switch is good?
