I recently purchased a 2003 F350 4WD that has a set of 22.5 size wheels on it. Well im fixing little things here and there and i wanted to do the shocks. I get under the truck and in the front it seems to have stock size shocks Monroe PN 911195 but in the rear it seems to have a shock for a 4" lifted truck Skyjacker 7000 hydro PN H7068S . Im guessing here but i would assume that these wheels would not fit without a bit of a lift . Is it common to lift these trucks like 2" in front and 4" in rear ? or did someone cheap out and used the wrong shocks on my truck even though it has some lift ? i tried to id if there was some type of leveling kit but i cant tell so im also assuming they lifted the truck with new leaf springs.
Thanks for the help .
**** update *** got a hold of the owner he states no lift on the truck
Well i want to do it right , the truck has a lot of play in the steering so i bought a full XRF front end kit and ball joints , also bought a blue top gear box , so im trying to do the shocks as well so this thing can ride better than it does now.
I can get the Ranchos local and bilsteins i have to order if you had to choose between the bilsteins and Rancho which one do you guys recommend ?
I put the KYB monomax shocks and the Bilstein steering dampener on a few weeks ago. Haven’t driven more than 10 miles with the stay at home orders since I installed them, but if I recall, I thought I was driving a ‘71 Mercury Marquis the ride was so smooth.
No matter what shock you install, the difference will be negligible. It’s a heavy duty pickup designed to haul, not a Cadillac.

True True , im just spoiled since i work for Audi Corporate and i spend my day in new luxury cars that glide though the road then get in my truck to tow my boat on the weekends and im like " WTF is this thing going to fall apapart LOL " i feel like im in an 813 Marine 5 ton truck lol.
Ended up picking up the 5100 from Summit with coupon [url=https://www.summitracing.com/savemore]OFFROAD for $419 shipped including the steering damper.
Hands down Rancho 9000 adjustables. Ive tried all the rest and the Rancho 9 series win by a wide margin, This is on a street truck that sees very little off-road use. Tamed the wild 250 ride. Same goes for the steering stabilizers.
