I'm getting ready to pull my fuel filter bowl and do a reseal on it. While out I want to do the HPOP lines and the rubber fuel lines going to the front of the heads. I see the HPOP lines all over EBAY, but where do I find the fuel lines? I'd like to replace them also. I see the drivers side connection at the head is a pleasure to get at. Can I unbolt the bracket for the compressor/power steering pump to get at it? Does this bracket corner around the block and have bolts not only in the front, but the side too? While I've got the can of worms open, I'm going to do injector O-rings also. 96 F250 powerstroke
Smart move doing return lines from heads. I tell FNGs that all the time and they think I am crazy. Do Riffraff CCV to turbocharger boots while in there...and that Stancore glow plug relay. May as well do CCV orings too.
I have purchased a pile of stuff from Dieselorings. Great outfit.
Oh. My HPOP lines are from 'Crude Diesel' ran about a C-note shipped. 25k without issue. They are on ebay out of Florida.
I am going to upgrade my rubber ones to those next time I mess with the fuel system. I bought my current set from you guys after my driver's side blew out on a 13hr trek!
Resurrecting this thread, how do you get to the driver side head port (under the air conditioning compressor)? Do I need to remove the compressor?
Remove serpentine belt from compressor. Remove the four bolts that hold the compressor down. Keep all lines to compressor attached and use rope or bungee to hold up the compressor. Locate the four bolts that hold the compressor/ps pump/vac pump bracket. I took the bolts out most of the way allowing me to pull the bracket out just enough Giving me access to fit a wrench on the fitting for the fuel line. Makes it easier to reassemble. Remove old line and attach new line, don’t over tighten.
Now I have to order the passenger side. I ordered an OEM version from Diesel O-rings (I think) when I did my e-fuel setup. I am just going to do both of the RR Diesel lines. RR, expect another order....
