Took a little trip today to get essentials.85% highway/15% threw the city to get on another highway. Some stops and only one off/on key cycle(getting stuff). I'm quite happy with this 6.2 as it breaks in. The li-o-meter was still creeping up as I took this pic but was getting off the highway. Interestingly, I do get better mpgs at 60 than 55 in 6th gear. Must be because the rpms are at or slightly below1500 and then it becomes a matter of throttle input. This surprises me as Beast is so damn tall that speed hurts.also a view of the Gtrans temp.and finally a pic of the stock height of Beast.
I've seen similar from my '17 6.2 on the rare occasion I get it out on the highway. Sadly most of my miles are rural/ city so I'm usually in the 12-14 mpg range.
Yes, I think based on my actual gearing of 3.56, and wind resistance at speed, 62 mph is the sweet spot for mpgs. That speed changes with different gearing.
If you don't mind me asking, what is your gearing and tire size. The reason i ask is, the 7.3/10 speed has been getting pretty good mileage since its inception.

pits a Tremors so ,4:30 with 35” tires it’s the only way they come. I was expecting to get better mpg than my 2016 f250 6.2. But that’s not the case so far . I’m expecting to get about 10 pulling my boat. But they now closed the boat ramps so it may be a long while before I find out. Some are saying they may not reopen boat ramps to July if at all this summer.

I'm not following this. I understand the tire height change out gear ratio calculator. However OP is saying with stock 275 70's from the factory and his factory 3.73 is reduced to 3.56.
I thought with factory gearing whatever tire you get factory thats the gearing you run with until you change the factory tire size.
I had 4.30 with 275 70. According to OP I'm not running 4.30 in reality
Now I had 285 75 Geolanders put on which reduced my ratio to 4.09 from what i thought was correct
I think people are saying that it is all RELATIVE to the standard 275/65R18 tire. So, in a sense, and compared to that, your 275/70R18 is comparatively a 4.13 rear end if a 275/65R18 is 4.30.
