It's actually my new son's name. Where do you work? It's pretty rare.
Sinjin is the phonetic spelling of the "old English" pronunciation of
"St. John" as in St. John the Baptist.
There is also one of the most famous beach volleyball players of all time with the same name: "Sinjin" Smith although his given name is Christopher St. John Smith.
We chose to use the phonetic spelling since few Americans would get it otherwise and didn't want the little guy to have to forever correct people.
I use it here because it's so cool.
