I'm keeping my 56 pretty original, its meadow green, some patina. I'm painting the grill and maybe the bumper some type of off white. Can anyone recommend a color? What did ford use?

Ford called the grille "Snowshoe White". The bumper was originally black.
Here is a picture of long-time member Abe's '55 truck, in Meadow Green w/Snowshoe white grille:
Hi dairydude. Ken is correct about the bumpers being black from the factory. I would recommend painting it black if your staying stock. I've seen 53-56 trucks with white bumpers and they don't look right .
Ken is correct that 55's had a Snowshoe White grille, like my 55. However, in 56 the standard grille was painted Colonial White. Why they changed, I don't know..... How different is Snowshoe from Colonial? I don't know.
Dude, have you shown is pictures of your Meadow Green 56?
Thanks a bunch, that's a sharp truck! Now I'm debating whether I should go with a black bumper. The cab top is also painted white as well as the
outside of the tailgate.
He two tone option was started in 1955. That was Colonial White in 56. FYI, in 56 the running boards were body color and the wheels were painted Colonial White on F100's.
thanks, I wish I'd have posted this sooner. The paint code book did list colonial white, ended up going with snowshoe white, which was listed as a 55 ford car color. I'll post pics when it's done.
