Diagnostic I have a small leakage of oil coming from the motor. It only leaks from the corner of the motor on each side. It’s a 2017 Ford F-250 6.7 with 108k miles any ideas what could be the problem?
I just went through this. It is most likely a leak from the upper oil pan. The robots did not put gasket sealer on the corners of the pan. On my truck, a quick lube guy noticed the leak first and said it was the main engine seal leaking but when diagnosed by the dealer later, it was the oil pan. I did not notice any oil on the ground at all but when I did, I sent it to the dealer. The transmission has to be removed to do the repair. Mine was under warranty but the dealer billed around 15hrs of warranty labour. Link for the repair process below. Very good possibility that this is your problem.
The day after the dealer returned the truck, I had another oil leak. The dealer did not seal the lower oil pan properly and that was quickly resolved. Good luck.
