What did you do to the heads ? Mine struggled on hills with the 3.55's. Wanted to downshift even on overpasses running empty with no trailer.

The port work will do wonders. You really need a taller rear gear to go with those tires. I'm running 28 inch tires on mine (275/60-15 on classic aluminum slots for the 70's look)Mine's turning 2700 rpms at 75 mph right in it's sweet spot. I should have gone with 3.73's but wanted the oomph to pull a trailer in the mountains. Mileage on the highway at those speeds didn't change at all.
