I wanted to share my experience with an 96 F350 CC 7.3. I searched the internet top to bottom and only found a few posts regarding use of engine flush in the 7.3 engines. I did run across a few, but the number of posts stating specifically do not do this outweighed the i have tried this. It seams most are concerned about damage to HPOP and injectors.
so some quick data. My truck is stock 264000 miles, engine maintenance unknown until i got it, ran an unknown number of miles with the number 3 injector not fully seated causing a misfire (fixed), leaks oil from the oil pan, does burn a little oil during starts, has visual oil in intake/ turbo boot, and does have blow by.
I wanted to see if the engine flush would help some of the blow by and smooth out some injector noise. I used 3 cans of the BG products EPR-109 with engine at operating temperature, and idled for about 15 minutes. I changed the oil and HPOP reservoir. replaced with my favorite oil and filter.
Results. It did seam to smooth out the idle a bit, of course it still leaks oil, i have noticed slightly less oil consumption, less smoke on startup, oil still not black after several hundred miles, and the big thing, no HPOP or injector issues.
On a side note, i have ran the EPR-109 in my Audi A6 3.0T (all aluminum block) with no issues.
I wouldn't use the engine cleaner/flush. You've already fix a known issue and changed the oil and filter. You say its running alot better. What more are you hoping the engine flush would do?

The intent behind the engine flush was to lessen the blow by, and reduce oil consumption. At this point i have not collected any conclusive evidence that it has helped either. The oil flush and change was done on March 1st 2020. I only drive this on the weekends, so it doesn't see a lot of miles. I will post back with results as it is driven more.
I cant see how an engine flush would help blow by. If anything itd potentially make it worse by removing any build up of gunk.
Could it make an engine run better, sure. But I would be very carefully reading the fine print. Most engines dont use oil to fire the injectors like our engines. There is a potential for serious engine damage compressing something that wasnt meant to be compressed like that.
I see it working if it had carbon build up in the piston rings. And yes if you change the HPOP oil once on a while it will keep the oil cleaner between changes, I used to do this but not no more after my engine rebuild.
Flushing the engine isn't going to seat the rings tighter like stated above. I've used Schaeffer's Neutra as a gentle flushing agent on fuel and oil, and all that's really changed is my oil doesn't immediately turn black. No difference in idle/blow by or general function. More of a warm fuzzy if you already use quality oil and change on time.
