Excursion steering wheel swap

I heard that the 04-08 f150 steering wheel would be a direct bolt on for an Excursion so I tried to install one on my 2000 excursion with no luck maybe I’m doing something wrong or there’s more to it than just swapping steering wheels any suggestions or maybe someone has done it any info would be great

Yeah, looks like the clock spring connectors are in the wrong place. They are at 3 oclock on an Excursion, and those are at 12

Only steering wheel swap i am aware of is from a Navigator.
