TFI IV Ignition Question?
Have 88' Bronco II, 2.9, 5 speed. Crank NO START. Can i check PIP signal on ignition module with a Digital or Analog VOM OR do you absolutely positively have ta have an LED Test lite? Have checked everything but the "PIP"! Also, most all the connectors and wiring on this truk are worn out, corroded, cracked, etc. Are there ANY other Grounds on this truk besides the one running from tha negative battery post to the computer, the one from the neg post to tha front of the truk near the radiator, and the one from the back of the engine to the firewall? If PIP signal is alright only thing left is NO GROUND somewhere...Dunno...Help? Have had this lil truk for 13 years now and have never had a love/hate relationship wit a vehicle like this SOB!

No start
Hello,
Three things come to Mind with this condition:
Clooged fuel filter or fuel pump died
tripped gravity switch
Dead ignition module or coil
I realise that I sort of listed 5, sorry.
The fuel filter is cheap if you aren't getting fuel. The way to determine this is have some else spray ignition fluid into the throttle body while cranking. If it starts, your not getting fuel. If the fuel filter didn't correct it, I would check the gravity or inertia switch next; just by-pass it so that power goes to your pump(oh yeah, can you hear your fuel pump spool up when you turn you key to on [not start])?
If it does start with fuel, then either the coil is dead or low output or your ignition module died.
