Backup Camera Staying On

I just moved my truck in and out of the building to remove the plow. The camera stayed on after shifting into drive. I t stayed on until I shifted into park. Any idea why?
2017 F 350 XL Regular Cab. Ultimate camera package.
Thanks.

It will stay on until your forward speed exceeds a set amount...I believe 5mph.

Backup camera should turn off as soon as you leave reverse but the front camera, if activated, would turn off around 5mph.

OP, that’s weird. Just keep an eye on it to see if it happens again.

There is an option that makes the reverse cam stay on(delay)for a few, after shifting into drive. You can turn that off in the settings.

I find it very useful with trailers to be able to easily see the movements when changing directions.

This. Nice that it stays on when you are "jick jocking" your truck to line up on your trailer coupler.

Exactly what I was thinking. I’ll have to turn that delay on.

Cool. I must have changed that setting without knowing it. Good to know. Thanks very much.

I actually left the yard today. It quits at 5 mph. I was unfamiliar with that setting. I thought there was a malfunction. Thanks again.

Waking an old thread. This issue recently started to happen with my '17 KR ... rear camera would remain active on screen until I hit 5 MPH. It never did that until recently. After reading some posts above, I realize this probably started when I towed a rental stump grinder ... was the only time a trailer has been connected to my truck. And thinking back, that's probably when the camera started remaining on. Gonna' go look at my tow settings. Thanks for your discussion!

EDIT TO ADD: After a brief bout of frustration not finding an applicable setting to change among the dashboard's towing menu options, I resorted to searching the owner's manual (thank God for electronic copies) to find the setting must be changed in the SYNC panel. All is back to normal. Thanks again!

Mine had taken to staying on again, and I could not find the setting. I was plowing snow at the time, and could not get logged onto this forum on my phone. I ended up getting help in a facebook group. My error was not swiping the screen to get the next page of icons that included the camera setting.
