96 f250 7.3. I'm starting to get body rust in some spots so I thought I'd sand them a little and put a gray primer on them. Any advise out there or how to go about doing it. what to use etc.

The only way to combat the rust is to cut it out and put in new sheet metal. Im assuming you are talking about the wheel-wells and below the doors? I just had it done on my truck. If you band-aid the metal it will just come back.
Thanks for responding, I was thinking of taping them off sanding down to bare metal and then primering until I can get the whole truck repainted.
Im not totally sure that is going to work because most of the time the rust is all the way through the metal. If you still want to attempt it, they have a spray that is suppose to stop rust dead in it’s tracks. Almost like Rustoleum on steroids. Id try that as the primer and then paint with whatever u want. There is no easy way out with rust though
