Thank you to everyone who contributes to this thread. In particular, thank you so much for updating the pinned post at the beginning of the thread - it is incredibly useful.
Finally got up the nerve to make some changes on my new beast. I initially wanted only to enable Bambi Mode, Temp on the Gauges, DPF% on Screen, and turn off the triple ding.
Per the tutorial, I fully backed up each module - piece of cake. I also backed up each module as I made each change so I could roll-back one if a change created an issue. It also gives me a log of changes I've made (by comparing files).
I then, per everyone's recommendations, started making changes one-at-a-time.
First, enabled Bambi Mode. Went to BdyCM Module, Address 726-39-02. As-Built value there was as follows: 0101 0000 006A. Changed it to: 0100 000 006A. After it wrote the new value, cycled the ignition and it worked exactly as I wanted.
Second, enabled Temps on Gauges. Went to IPC Module, Address 720-07-01. As-Built value there was as follows: 8401 0EA0 0B6D. Changed it to: 8401 0E50 0B6D. I have the brake controller. Wrote it, cycled ignition and it worked perfect.
Third, enabled DFP% on Screen. Went to IPC Module, Address 720-07-02. As-Built value there was as follows: 0742 48C1. Changed it to: 0F42 48C1. Wrote it, cycled ignition and it worked perfect.
Fourth, disabled the Triple Ding at Start Up. Went to IPC Module, Address 720-01-02. As-Built value there was as follows: 221B 50B7, Changed it to: 221B 52B7. Wrote it, cycled ignition and it worked perfect.
Thanks again, and in particular ZooDad who carries a lot of the weight in this forum. I'm not done - waiting for my lift, shocks wheels and tires. I'm planning to adjust TPMS and tire size. And, eventually, bigger tank.

trying to see if down towards 1/4 tank and lower the my dte is more accurate
we talked about it before I change to based on volume so I’m testing it out but you can see some settings that are a little random wondering if anyone has tinkered with them

Does anyone know if you can use forscan to enable the use of a camera placed on the back of a trailer to work with the 8" sync 3 screen? I think that normally you have to have the ultimate trailer tow camera option to use a customer placed trailer camera, wondering if I can get around this? Also if it is possible, anyway to enable it's use while driving forward?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Oh I see, thanks for the info! I don't have my truck yet so I haven't dived into forscan at all.

Just completed my first updates.. One share in case the next person experiences what I did and one question came out of it.
The instruction say to test each update after making them which I did and everything worked OK. After doing all my changes I realized I had to set up my display screens again. That's when I noticed my Tire Pressure gauge screen wasn't showing any tire pressure. Of course after the "I knew I shouldn't have played with this stuff" passed I started rechecking my values, then checking the TMPS values and then reprograming updates back to original one by one to see which one effects the TMPS and then restoring the entire sections from the backups one by one...after all the restored backups the pressure gauges still showed no values.. just dashed lines. Something told me to go for a ride and I didn't get very far before the values appeared. Second time making all the updates I wanted to the truck went a lot easier and done with a lot more confidence. The TMPS again had just dash lines but a quick ride resolved that problem.
Question I do have.. My main want with using FORScan was the ability to see the DPF% on the screen and the ability to kick off a Regen if needing/wanting to. I got the DPF% to display and I got the option to Enable/Disable Auto Regen to display. What I don't see is the option to do a Manual Regen Initiation. Instruction say to select option 3 under manual regen in PCM Plain English. I tried option 2 which removed the ability to Enable/Disable Auto Regen. I set it back to Option 3 which allows the ability to Enable/Disable Auto Regen BUT nothing that allows a Manual Regen. Is it just not allowed on the 2021 or Is the ability to do so hidden somewhere? My current DPF% is 95%. I do a lot of short trips and I'm guessing my trucks been kicking off at 100%, cleaning down to around 90-95% before I get home and shut it off. Next startup it's not at 100% so we drive around until this same cycle happens again. DPF% on the screen will help but ability to manually kick it off would be great.
Thanks!

So there is no way to do a manual regen? If I turn off Auto regen until percentage reaches 100% and then turn it on I must then drive the truck above a specific speed for awhile until I see DPF% reaches 0. Is that the only way? No way to initiate and let it regen in my driveway?
