4x4 switch mod
Trying to do a search for using a toggle switch for 4x4 activation. Cant find anything. Have heard about this mod, just need some info on it. It's either this or swap a manual trnsfercase in, and I'd rather try the switch first. Any info on how to go about doing it would be appreciated. I know you need the wires from under the hood, from the relay, a brown/black and orange and a yellow and black?

Because the dash switch doesnt work. Doesnt even light up. New shift motor on tcase. Could be many different issues so I just want to bi-pass it with a toggle. Thought I might get the info here, guess I'll just have to google it

I had a similar issue a number of years ago on a 1999 Expedition I used to own, it ended up that some wiring got damaged underneath it by rocks getting kicked up, here's a thread I wrote up about it years ago, however the pictures have since disappeared, might be something worth considering. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...ow-issues.html
